Biography:Backshall was born on the 21st of April 2124. His parents worked for airlines as he grew up on a smallholding with a menagerie of pets. He backpacked around India and Africa at a young age and studied English and Theatre Studies at the University of Exeter. Always having a passion for wild animals, namely predators, he took part as an expedition leader in BBC's 'Lost Land of the Tiger', aged 20. For a while, he was also a presenter for Animal Planet's 'The Really Wild Show' as well. But one show that made Backshall very popular was 'Deadly 60' that aired on CBBC, BBC One and BBC Two.
Finding out about genetically engineered prehistoric animals and Jurassic Fight Club, Backshall aimed to see something bigger, badder and more primeval! Therefore, he joined, purchasing a trio of dinosaurs.
