John Hammond's Mysterious Disappearance

With all the new events unfolding, you had to have thought about where John Hammond had disappeared to. He secretly wandered off away from the facility and entered the jungles of the island along with Roland Tembo to check up on the recovering Styracosaurus Eema. Eema is laying along a fern patch while Hammond checks on her wounds; all the while, Roland keeps an eye out for theropod carnivores. "That's a good girl, now hold still while your daddy gives you some antibiotics" says John to Eema before sticking a small needle into her right calf. She doesn't flinch from the needle going into her and she has an old trust for Hammond.

Shredder continued to kick & groan playfully as a happy dog would. While Yoko continued to pet & scratch his favorite spot more & more. X333
Simon & Kamina both looked on with giggles & chuckles, but soon enough, Shredder looked back up to suddenly see both Anthony Stark & Jennifer. Seeing these two new faces, the dinosaur looked on with a curious, & yet cautious face. o3o
This whole time, however, & Stark himself has been wondering one simple question- Where is John Hammond? He thought he would be able to see his good friend when he first landed on the island, but he has not been able to see him as of yet.

Jennifer soon made her approach to Shredder, "Hello there, big guy." =3 she says.

Soon enough, Hammond & Tembo was approached by one of the staff members, "Excuse me sir. We've came to tell you that Anthony Stark has made his arrival to the island some time ago." he says.

John and Roland look to see the two staff members out in the jungles with them. "I do thank you for the notice, but don't you know the protocol gentlemen" asks Hammond. Before they can answer though, John says "You know that non-military staff members need an escort; you two could have easily been killed by any one of the island theropods".

Shredder, seeing Jennifer approaching with Stark, soon looked on for a moment. He rose back up from his back to stand up on his feet & thus looked down at the two. As they approached, he himself lowered his large grey head to sniff them. o3O

"Hello, there big boy." =3 Jennifer says to Shredder as she reached out to pet the dinosaurs nose.

O.O "But, we're the scientists. We always come out here to study the dinosaurs, sir." the 2 staff said as they were scientists, studying the animals.

Jennifer's hand began to reach out for Shredder's big nose. He looked on for but a moment before he himself lowered his head. He kept looking on at both her & Stark. But when she reached her hand to him, he soon began to not only sniff them, but her hand as well. O3o
"Hmhm, that's my boy. Gettin' to know everyone." ;3 Kamina soon said while watching.

"Nonetheless, you two should still have a military escort, what would you have been able to do if either Chaos or Cleo attacked you" asked Roland. "Indeed, what would you have done" asked Hammond.

"Hehe, yeah." X3 Jennifer says as she began gentlly petting Shredder on the nose.

"We've got a specail chemical Nigel Marvin used before on predators. That gives out an oder to drive even the biggest of carnivores away." one scientist said. =)
"I kept telling you that only worked on Liopleurodon. I told you we should've brought a couple of soldiers with us." the other scientist said to his buddy with an unamused face. <.<

Shredder kept sniffing Jennifer's hand still, getting to know her a little more. But eventually, he groaned softly to her & went to kneel down before her, allowing her to pet him more. X3

"Hang on" says Hammond. John and Roland both know Nigel Marvin on a personal level and they both are aware of the chemical's effects. "Did either of you use that special chemical before coming out here" asks Hammond.

Jennifer giggled as she petted Shedder once more. X3

"You mean test it? Well, yeah we did. Why you ask?" o.O the scientist asks.

Shredder continued to enjoy the attention & the comfort he was being given by Jennifer & the rest of the group. Especially being petted on the nose. His teenaged self could definitely be seen by the group, & was still a youngster at heart. X3
Kamina meanwhile soon approached Shredder as well with a good, gentle pat to the side of his head. "You ready for some training later?" ;3 he soon asked his dinosaur. But alas, the Saurophaganax has never experienced a single dinosaur battle in his life. Shredder merely looked on with a tilted head. O3o

Hammond and Roland look at each other before John says "Roland, we need to leave now". "Right away, John...come on you two" says Roland. Before they can head off back to the facility, a roar penetrates through the trees and the forest growth. "The chemical you boys have tested repels marine predators, but it will attract land based theropods" says Roland with his weapon raised up.

Yoko smiled & giggled as she sees Shredder's face, "Hehehe, seems the poor thing has never battled by his look." X3 she says.

"I told you." the 2nd scientist said to his buddy, knowing that it was a bad idea using the peutraseen, the same chemical used by Nigel Marvin in the series, Sea Monsters: A Walking with Dinosaurs trilogy.

"Yeah, well he's about to find out." >;3 Kamina said back to Yoko, turning to his dinosaur again. "Your gonna be doin' some training today, buddy. You'll have your share." >;3
But alas, Shredder kept his head titled at his master. But he eventually just lied down & began rolling & scratching his back again. X3
O3O "Uh-! No boy, it's not playtime." <X3 Kamina then said.

As John and Roland scan the area, Roland catches a glimpse of movement coming from the treeline less than fifteen feet from the group's position. "No one make any quick movements" whispers Roland. John then catches the coloration of the creature and realizes that it is Reptilicus, a known stalker of the deeper forests of the island; an abelisaurid. Then, Reptilicus shows his face as it slowly comes out from hiding.

O3O Yoko & Jennifer giggled as they see Shredder doing this. <X3

The 2 scientists hear Roland & freeze where they are, looking around.

Reptilicus slowly walks out from his hiding area, sniffing the air to find the source of the scent. Roland very carefully moves his weapon upward, ready to fire if things get nasty though John is worried about the safety of all of them, including Reptilicus. The large theropod looks at the group and sniffs in their general direction; his sense of smell tells his that there is rotting marine reptile flesh just ahead of him. This is the effects of the peutraseen however and this known to carnivore if known to scavenge on carcasses when the opportunity arises; perhaps back in the days of Tarascosaurus, his kind would feed on the washed up remains of marine reptiles.

Kamina merely just chuckled & shook his head upon seeing his new dinosaur just lying on the ground & scratching his back. Shredder was still young at heart & he was a new dinosaur, after all. Getting Shredder to listen to him would take time & training. But for now, he just let Shredder do his thing. "Ah well. He'll be ready when he's ready I suppose." X3 he said.

O.O "I told you that stuff was a bad idea." <.< one scientist says to his buddy.

"Hmhm, yeah." X3 Yoko says, nodding in agreement to Kamina.

Shredder meanwhile soon lied down near the fencing & right near the others. Right near his "momma." But for the moment, the dinosaur began to get taken by slight confusion. Even if the Saurophaganax couldn't understand Kamina's words. What exactly did he mean by "training"? What was it? What would he do? Poor Shredder had no idea that he may be going up against his first....& quiet possibly his toughest opponent ever. O3o

Reptilicus approaches the group and sniffs the air around them. It doesn't take much effort to single out the two scientists which have the distinct scent of a rotting marine reptile carcass. He then leans towards one of the scientists and licks him in the face with his saliva covered tongue; Roland slowly angles his weapon near the rear of the animal in case it decides to go for an attack.

Yoko giggled, "Well, I think that's all the dinosaurs. I wonder how my dear friend is doing?" =3 she asks, as she wondered how a dear friend of her, Kamina, & Simon, was doing on her job here.

O~O The scientist didn't move a single muscle, but was taken by suprise when Reptilicus licked his face. >~<

"Yep that should be all of them." Kamina replied with Yoko as well. While he & Simon looked up at her to see what she was talking about. "Ohhh, you mean her. Hmhm, yeah wonder what she's up to." X3 he asked.
"A friend of yours?" O.o Stark soon came to ask the two.
