Pavi T'Challa's big vacation.

As the jeep comes to a stop, Bakker hears Nigel and says "Oh yes, these males are full of testosterone and like elephants, this makes them much more aggressive". "However, this is an exciting moment, as these animals put up great battles during the mating season".

Nigel heard Bakker & nods in agreement. Soon, he looks on as the 2 males continue to shake their heads, & pawing the ground & snort. One of the males ran off for a bit, but it turned back around & continued to shake his head at the other male. Soon, showing off wasn't enough as the 2 males soon lock horns! They push & shove for quiet a while, roaring & snorting like 2 angry bulls. But one had to go down as the other male, wich was the lead male, soon felt something painfull as the group hears what sounded like a branch snap off of a tree, the other male's horn broke RIGHT off his head! It roars & absolute pain & runs off, for he can never again challenge the right to mate, the victor of the males roars for his victory & new leadership of the herd.

The group have just witnessed an epic and fairly brutal battle against two, male Torosaurus. The victorious male now has his choice for females, while the other Torosaurus has lost more than just the battle...he has lost one of his horns, this could be his doom if faced with a predator. "What a battle, but we probably should head off, because that defeated male may want to take his anger out on us" says Bakker. With this, the driver puts the jeep in "drive" and they drive off and into a forest filled with barren, leafless trees.

Pavi looked on, feeling sorry for the male that lost, but she knew that that was part of life. One other, younger male, Toros looks at Pavi for a second & got a bit interested, he could follow, but he'll decide if they come back, then he'll follow them

As they drove in the forest, Pavi had to hold onto Mikey to prevent him from climbing any trees. Soon, she spots something, "Hey, I think I see 2.........it looks like Gallimimus down that way." she says, pointing as Nigel & Bob hear her & look down that direction where she pointed at.

The driver stops as Pavi spotted a pair of Gallimimus foraging the leaf-litter for small animals and fruit. Bakker spots them as well and says "These are the ostriches of the dinosaur world, they are very bird-like and those downy feathers are for insulation for those cool, African nights". "This pair are both males, probably brothers...those red neck feathers are used to show age and attract mates". "These animals are normally shy and easily startled, but these two are hunting for food, so they won't run off even though we are in the same area as they are". As the group watch the ostrich-like dinosaurs scanning the forest floor, Bakker spots some slight movement in the distance. He grabs his binoculars and upon looking through a few bushes, he sees the outline of a predatory dinosaur that is stalking the Gallimimus. "Everyone, look out there, near the bushes...there is a predator approaching the Gallimimus" whispers Bakker. As the group look, the driver asks "What predator is it"? "I am not sure" whispers Bakker. But upon further examination, Bakker realizes that it is an Alioramus, the fastest theropod on the reserve. "Alioramus, its an Alioramus" whispers Bakker with excitement. "This is great, we are going to witness a hunt". The predator cautiously advances ever closer to the Gallimimus, making sure it doesn't reveal its presence to its prey. After about a minute, one of the Gallimimus looks up at the jeep and the Alioramus takes the opportunity and rushes in for the kill. The other Gallimimus spots it and runs off, but the other spots it late and starts running late as well. Within seconds, the Alioramus is nearly upon the Gallimimus and is quickly beside its left flank.
With a swift strike, the tyrannosaur bites down on the lower neck of the Gallimimus and the ornithomimid falls down. It kills and hollers, but its no use...the Alioramus has its hold and bites down with nearly half a ton of pressure, breaking the light neck vertebra of the Gallimimus. Within only thirty seconds, it is all over.

Pavi, Bob, & Nigel watched as the Alioramus killed the Gallimimus. Mikey, looked on with a scared face when he saw the carnivore & quicklly hid under Pavi's bag, shivering. Pavi, who didn't say a work looked on as she wasn't disgusted by the blood & gore, she liked seeing it.

The Alioramus earned its kill with both patience and skill...as it feeds on the freshly killed Gallimimus, the group watch as the theropod feeds, not even noticing them. "Look at how it feeds, shaking its head from side to side, tearing of flesh from the carcass" whispers Bakker. As they continue to watch, the driver suddenly sneezes by accident, alerting the Alioramus to the groups presence. Bakker is startled by this, but the sneeze is the least of his concern...far from pleased with the watching people, the Alioramus feels that its kill is at risk and beings to hiss deeply. "I think its time to leave now" says Bakker. "Right you are, sir" responds the driver turning the car on. The jeep drives away and, feeling that its kill is safe, the Alioramus continues feeding.

Nigel, Bob, & Pavi look on as the driver drives away from the Alioramus. After getting a good distance, Pavi wipes her forehead & sighs in releif, "Phew! That was close." -.- she says.
"Yeah, we would've been mence meat if that Alioramus chased us." Bob says.
"Well, we'd probablly not be food from that predator. He was only protecting his kill from other predators." Nigel says.

"I do agree with Nigel, the animal only wanted to dine in peace, so what it did back there was a threat-display" says Bakker. "Well, I do believe that we have had our fill of dinosaurs for today, though we may see a few more on our way back to the facility". The driver drives slowly towards the facility, following the jeep trail. "We should be there in about 5 or ten minutes" says the driver.

Pavi relaxes as the group begin to head back to the facility. On the way, they pass by the Torosaur herd, wich moved off a bit. But the same male Toro stayed behind to graze. As they get close, it notices Pavi again & makes his approach slowlly, not showing any sign of aggression towards the group whatsoever. Pavi looks on as she sees this, O.O "Uhhh, guys." she says pointing to the Torosaurus.

The group turns and sees the slowly approaching Torosaurus. "Should I speed up, sir" asks the driver. Bakker looks at the animal carefully, noticing that he is being territorial. "No, no...in fact, bring the jeep to a slow stop" replies Bakker. Though his mind says not to, the driver slowly stops the jeep as the Torosaurus continues its advance. "It seems that this animal may have interest in Pavi" says Bakker.

O~O Mikey peeps as he quicklly hides under Pavi's bags again. "Yeah, seems it has." Nigel says, looking at Pavi. "Oh?" Pavi says, turning to the Torosaurus, & reaches her hand out & begins to pet it. The Toro just stands there as if he likes to be petted by her gentle hand, "Awwww, it does." Pavi says as she pets the Torosaurus. <=3

"Well now, this is pretty exciting...looks like you have someone to tag along with you" says Bakker. "I have to be honest, the behavior is a bit strange, as it doesn't happen to often". "The fact that this animal is being less aggressive towards us, especially seeing as it is mating season, is a bit of a shock".

"Yeah, it sure is strange. But it's neat to see." Nigel says. Pavi gets an idea, turning to Bakker, "If he follows us back, I'd like to take him & add him to my collection of dinosaurs. I've even come up with a name for him, Toro." she says as she pets the Torsaurus.

"Sure, I wouldn't mind at all" says Bakker with a smile. "He does have to follow us though...and that's a clever name for him". "I am sure that you and him can get along well".

Pavi nods as she pets the Torosaurus, then she wants to test somethig, "Driver. Drivee slowly, I want to see if he follows us." she says. The driver nods & puts the jeep on cruise mode as they slowly drive & sure enough, Toro begins to follow them as they slowly drive back to the facility. "Well, I'll be darned." Bob says with a smile & arms crossed. <=)

Bakker and the driver watch as the Torosaurus beings to follow the jeep back to the facility. "Well ain't this a sight" says Bakker. "It looks like Mikey won't be the only dinosaur in her collection now, she will soon have a healthy Torosaurus to take with her". "You never know sir, that animal may let her ride it at the rate its going" says the driver. Bakker laughs as the jeep drives on with a Torosaurus in tow.

"Now I don't know about that, yet." Pavi says, giggling with Bakker. Nigel & Bob chuckle as well as they ride on as the group heads back to the facility.

The group ride back towards the facility with the Torosaurus still following. "Sir, we should be close to the facility, so we won't be much longer" says the driver. "Alright then, that's good" replies Bakker. He then looks back and sees that the ceratopsian is still following the jeep. Although the animal's motive is unknown, it may just sense a connection with Pavi and made its mind up to follow her. This behavior is rare for wild dinosaurs to adopt, so Pavi is among a privileged few.

Pavi smiles as the Torosaurus follows, but also smiiles to know that they're almost back at the facility. Nigel looks on & sees the facility near, but he sees something much more, something's near the facility, "Something big is near the facility." he says. Pavi looks on as she too sees this. Toro sees this & grunts, stomping & pawing on the ground & roaring at Leviathan, much like how an African Buffalo would do to a Lion when he sees it.

"Stop the car now" exclaims Bakker. The drive steps on the brakes and the car comes to a screeching halt. "What's wrong, sir" asks the driver. Bakker puts his finger on his mouth, showing that he wants everyone to be quiet before he slowly turns around. In front of them, something moves among the trees and then a ear shattering roar briefly breaks past the trees.

Nigel, Bob, & Pavi keep quiet as they hear the roar, wich makes Toro run off. Mikey gets even more scared when he hears the roar & hides in Pavi's jacket, shivering like a leaf. "What was that?" Pavi whispered as she too was a bit scared. O~O

"Leviathan" whispers Bakker with fearful eyes facing forward. This is very likely, the most aggressive predator on the Serengeti Reserve. Plus, this is the one predator that Bakker never wanted to encounter on one of the jeep safari tours...highly aggressive and territorial, Bakker knows what he is capable of. As an adolescent, Leviathan attacked Bakker and clamped down on his right leg...it took three grown men to get him off Bakker. However, that was when he was a adolescent, now he is three times the length and seven times the weight. With powerful jaws and thick skin like a crocodile, Leviathan is as deadly as he is unique...back in his kind's prehistoric environment, these predators fought with larger prey and predators alike.
The bending and pushing of trees gets louder as the carnivore beings to walk away from the facility, but towards the group in the jeep. Even Toro knows that this isn't your average predator and that's why he ran off. Then, his upper body breaks past the trees that line the jeep trail. The group sees a giant killer with a bright grey coloration with brown stripes and spots...though he has nearly vestigial arms, like a tyrannosaur its all about the bite and his bite is the strongest in the family of the abelisaurids. With a nasty snarl, his head turns and he spots the jeep. He has great eyesight, but he is curious about the object that is before him. After a brief period of staring at the jeep, he starts to make a slow approach to the jeep. "Don't move, he may leave us alone if we just stay calm" whispers Bakker to everyone else as the giant predator approaches the jeep.

Nigel & Bob look on as the massive theropod named Leviathan approaches. They follow Bakker's order & stand still. Pavi, however, shivers like crazy, never seeing anything this bi & ferocious looking up close. She stayed still for the most part, but she was shaking like a leaf, looking right in the predator's eyes. o~O

Leviathan is now very close to the jeep and with only a few more terrifying seconds, he is standing right beside the jeep. Looking down at the jeep, he lowers his upper body down to get a look at the jeep and the people in it. Bakker and the others try to sit as still as possible as the giant carnivore starts sniffing at the jeep. Deep breaths and quick snorts come from the nostrils of this killer dinosaur as it sniffs at the jeep. Then, Leviathan pushes the side of the jeep slightly, making it move and bounce around. Lifting his head a little higher, Leviathan now begins to investigate the people inside the jeep. He first sniffs around the driver, who couldn't be more terrified at this. He then turns slightly, now sniffing at Nigel and Bob.
